To assist the Guest Coordinator with assigned tasks in order to serve center guests and program participants in the Men’s Center. Building relationships with our shelter guests and staff while assisting with the center's needs is very welcome.
Qualifications:
- Be a born-again, mature Christian. Able to clearly communicate the gospel as opportunities during the work day arise (1 Pet. 2:21, 3:15).
- Demonstrated experience exhibiting good judgment, sensitivity, neatness, accuracy, and dependability.
- Must be able to communicate effectively, and be able to work in a fast paced, emotional environment.
- Education: high school diploma or equivalent and 2 years of related experience.
Duties a& Responsibilities:
- Assist the shelter staff by providing support to guests and participants through communication and support of guest support activities.
- Work with shelter staff to ensure the facility is cleaned and supplies are stocked.
- Assist in the dining room during meal times and participate in chapel.
- Assist the shelter staff with intake screenings as necessary.
- Be available throughout shift for assigned duties.
- Function as a positive volunteer of the shelter staff by communication, positive attitude, punctuality, and compassionate interactions with guests and participants.
- Be willing to share the gospel with guests as opportunities arise throughout the assigned shift.
- To demonstrate care and hospitality through conversation and interaction.
